I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Barkoff and the entire New West Podiatry staff. The office was sparkling clean; I was greeted by a very welcoming and easy to work with staff member at the front desk. In no time I was being seen by Doctor Barkoff who was able to diagnose and treat my issue. I have had no issue since my visit! I will certainly be going back to New West Podiatry for any future needs and would recommend to all my friends and family.

I've been struggling with a sore ankle that just doesn't seem to get better for about a year. My friend who lives in the city suggested Dr. Barkoff to me so I saw him about a month ago. He was really good, especially in that he asked a lot of questions about my activity, when and how I had hurt my ankle, and what I wanted to accomplish. He made a set of orthotics for me which have helped a lot so far. The staff was also nice and made my appointment easy. I'll be back to see him again, as I think the treatment is working. Thanks!

Saw him 2 years ago for treatment of painful ingrown toenail on both of my big toes. Office staff is amazing and so is Dr. Barkoff. Wonderful bedside manner...nice clean office. The most I ever had to wait was 10min and that was b/c of an unexpected emergency. Would definitely recommend and would return if needed.

Great guy!! Dr. Barkoff is knowledgeable and a true nice guy. Easy to get an appointment, staff is nice and helpful. Office manager made calls when I needed help getting my referral. He treats you with respect, even if you have crappy insurance (like me) when other guys don't even want to take it. I have sent two friends to him and they also were very satisfied. He is good and the staff goes the extra mile to assist with anything (like where to find a place for a boot to help my Achilles tendinitis) that would take that crappy insurance of mine. Definitely go!!

This is a great office. I've been there for a serious injury (broken toe that prevented me from walking for a while) and a less serious injury (small piece of glass in my foot that I couldn't see to remove). Both times I got in to see the doctor the day I called and received excellent care. I should be clear that the first visit was with Dr. Barkoff's partner Dr. Ferguson, but I am very happy with both of them and will return if I ever need a podiatrist again.

I needed to have an ingrown toenail removed. I was concerned that I would not find a professional who would be both skilled in their field and genuinely care about helping me recover to a healthy state. It's very frustrating meeting a physician who is burned out (just tired and can't help but neglect you) or so disconnected from the patient that they rush you through your appointment. Dr. Barkoff and his people lived up to the positive reviews (I found him on ZocDoc.com). He was thorough, genuine, and the front desk personnel were nice. I FEEL GOOD, SON! Much respect 🙂

I was looking for a great NYC podiatrist after a Metatarsal Stress Fracture kept me out of this year’s New York City Marathon. I couldn't have been more lucky to stumble upon Dr. Barkoff's beautiful office on the Upper West Side. He helped me get back running much sooner than expected.
